Kempinski opens first five-star luxury hotel in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia

Second KSA property is located on the Red Sea and has 118 keys

Kempinski has opened its second property in Saudi with the Kempinski Hotel & Resort Sariya Yanbu Red Sea.

The first five-star luxury hotel in Yanbu provides a retreat on Al Mahar Island within the Royal Commission.

Known as the ‘Pearl of the Red Sea’, Yanbu is a historic port city in the west of the kingdom that combines pristine beaches, rich coral reefs and a history that dates back 2,500 years. The city is the location for a new waterfront development, being built to transform the area into a thriving tourist destination by 2027.

With direct beach access, Kempinski Hotel and Resort Sariya has 118 rooms and suites, many offering lagoon or Red Sea views. The resort also has two restaurants, a ballroom, meeting facilities, a fitness centre, marina and infinity pool.

The Spa includes a womens-only area with secluded beach, steam baths, a hammam, treatment rooms, a restaurant and tea lounge.

The sprawling complex is situated just 20 minutes away from Yanbu International Airport.

"Opening our doors in Yanbu, The Pearl of the Red Sea, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both Kempinski and the city itself,” said General Manager Dirk Bansemer.

“We are honoured to contribute to Yanbu's growth as a premier destination while aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to highlight its natural beauty and cultural legacy on the world stage."

The property joins Cloud7 Yanbu, a Kerten Hospitality hotel that offers a range of experiences, from gourmet restaurants to a rooftop infinity pool with sweeping sea and city views.
