Radisson to operate 150 Middle East hotels by 2030

Radisson to operate 150 Middle East hotels by 2030

Saudi Arabia will account for majority of properties, with 100 across 10 brands

Radisson Hotel Group says it is on track to boost its Middle East portfolio to 150 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments by 2030, a significant increase given it currently has less than 100 properties in operation or development.

Saudi Arabia is a major part of those plans, with Radisson having 47 properties in operation and  under development, almost half of its regional portfolio. Radisson has stated its ambition to have 100 hotels across 10 brands in the kingdom within the next five years, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

Earlier this month, Radisson opened its first hotel in the Holy City of Madinah. Radisson Hotel Madinah is billed as an upscale property designed to meet the needs of pilgrims visiting the city for Umrah, as well as business and leisure travellers.

And in January 2025, Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, Riyadh Minhal (pictured) opened its doors, the group’s tenth property in the capital.

The property pipeline includes Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh Al Sahafa and Radisson Hotel Jeddah Tahlia Street, which are both due to open in the second quarter of this year.

Looking further ahead Radisson Collection Residence, Riyadh, and Radisson Hotel & Residences, Makkah Thakher City are due to open towards the end of 2025.

“Saudi Arabia remains one of our most dynamic and strategic markets globally,” said Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Global Chief Development Officer, Radisson Hotel Group.

“Our continued investment and development in the kingdom reflect both our confidence in the Saudi market and our commitment to delivering relevant hospitality solutions that meet the needs of our guests and owners.”

Radisson isn't alone in its Saudi ambitions, with Hilton recently reporting it is on track to reach a milestone of 100 properties, operating or in the pipeline, in Saudi by the end of 2025 as it aims to more than quadruple its presence in the kingdom.
