Nada Sheshtawy is committed to advancing women in leadership
Dubai-headquartered hotel management company Rotana has appointed Nada Sheshtawy as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
In her new role, Sheshtawy is charged with spearheading transformative commercial strategies across the company’s portfolio of 82 operational hotels in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Türkiye (MENAT).
She is tasked with driving strategic revenue growth and improving market share, profitability and expansion for the Abu Dhabi-headquartered group, which is building on a 30-year legacy as a homegrown brand.
According to Philip Barnes, CEO at Abu Dhabi-headquartered Rotana, Sheshtawy’s “vision and commitment to advancing women in leadership” will be pivotal in driving growth and shaping a culture of “inclusivity and collaboration”.

Throughout her three decade-long hospitality career, Sheshtawy has held leadership roles at global hotel brands across the Middle East, Asia and Europe, at Starwood, Ritz-Carlton, Swissôtel, Movenpick, Wyndham, Taj and Rotana Hotels & Resorts.
As Commercial Director at Wyndham for six years, she oversaw the strategic direction of 22 brands across the MEA region, leading the development of regional joint ventures, loyalty programmes and partnerships.
She also managed her own hospitality consultancy spearheading sales, revenue, marketing and branding strategies across multiple brands in the Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Rotana recently revealed plans to open 36 new properties across 22 cities in MENAT in 2025. This includes nine hotels in Saudi, tripling the group’s key count in the kingdom over the next three years to 6,000. The company also recently announced plans to open the first five-star hotel in Somalia.
